Hi Everyone --

It's been a big weekend. We had the CES missionaries from Bangalore here Friday night and all day Saturday. The elders also came to teach the husband of a member here. The CES missionaries were teaching a young sister and getting her ready for her mission -- how to fill out the papers, what she needs to do, going through the "Preach My Gospel" book, etc. We all went to Mumbai today for the baptism. The Elders and Senior couple went in a rental car and we took the young sister and the married couple in our car. We made it to the church in 2 hours and when we got there at 10:30 a.m., no one was at the chapel. We were able to go in, they were just starting to fill the font, and we waited patiently until everyone came just after 11 a.m. (church starting time). It was fun to see our friends again and we had a nice service, Sunday school class, and baptism.

We had a big pot of chili Friday night for the elders and senior couple missionaries. Saturday Doug made his great pancakes for breakfast, we had grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch, and I made a big roast beef dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy, homemade bread, fruit salad, cucumber and tomato salad, cauliflower, and ice cream with hot fudge and chocolate cookies with peanut butter chips for dessert. We had 11 to dinner that night. Everyone from our home group except one. It was very good and the Indians were good sports. The American elder and senior couple and we really enjoyed it!

We did get our China visas this last week. We also purchased our tickets to Beijing. We fly from Mumbai to Dubai to Beijing. Some may think that is not the right direction, and they would be correct. It will be a 14-16 hour flight including our layover in Dubai. It was the best we could do. We are still working on our hotel and inter-China flights as well as our driver/guide arrangements. We are excited to go and think it will be much cooler in China at this time.

We finished booking our flights for our US trip in May/June. Our last flight was from Tri-Cities, TN to Fort Lauderdale, FL for our cruise. Hopefully, our flight will get in on time and we won't miss the ship this time around.

We went on Saturday to our favorite antique place and picked up a few more items. They are very beautiful and the workers there do a very nice job of refinishing and restoring.

Hannah has ordered 3 exams this week -- History, Physics, and French. She sent in her final paper for English, so she will be able to order that final next week after BYU receives it. Literature needs an resubmitted assignment then order the final. Algebra 2 and Interior Design are moving right along still and we are hoping that all these finals will be done and taken care of before we leave for the US in the middle of May.

We hope everyone is well and happy! We miss you lots!
Love, Lucinda

That dinner sounds really yummy! I bet the missionaries from the states thought they had died and gone to heaven!

By the by, you are going to have to buy a huge house in Iowa when you get back becuase you are going to have so many fabulous "treasures" to put in it. Hmmmm...I think someone's addicted to finding hidden treasure in the scary stores...
