Hi Everyone --

We are back in India and things are going as smoothly as possible. I'm sure everyone will be happy to hear that our plastering and painting and waterproofing has been completed. I know it is miraculous! The big test will be when monsoon comes next summer. It is nice to have it all finished for longer than 2 months this year. When it is bad, it really is a terrible sight and we can't use our kitchen shelves at all. Doug is not convinced they waterproofed outside, but they insisted that they filled in the cracks in the wall and waterproofed the entire thing. I assume they used latex paint to "waterproof."

We have 3 more brown dresses for Heidi's friends wedding in January. The tailor did a good job on them and they were done in record time. Three matching dresses custom fit for $25. Not bad!

It feels like we're still recovering from jet lag, or maybe I just need 9 hours of sleep at night. Either way, it's hard to get up in the morning. We've been out walking/running/lifting weights every day. Doug caught another bug this week and had to stay home from work on Saturday -- too bad! I started him on the bacterial intestinal medicine and he seems to be bouncing back fairly quickly.

We had 2 phone calls this week from people coming/moving to Pune and wanting to know where and when church is. Today we had 6! We have a new young man who moved back with his family from Hydreabad and another girl who has joined her husband here in Pune. Our regular gal that attends didn't make it today and we are worried about her. I tried to call her but her phone was switched off. I will try again later.

We are having beef stew and home made bread for dinner today. Our stew will have all the extra vegetables from the week dumped in -- potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, peas, and beans, along with onions and garlic. YUM! Hannah said she was going to make some pumpkin cookies. I hope she does!

Hannah finished another class this week and ordered the final. She is ready and waiting for 2 finals now. That only leaves 3 classes to finish and order the final before November 28. I think she can do it.

We hope everyone is doing well and enjoying this fall season. We don't have fall in India. The days are starting to get shorter and it gets cooler at night, but that's all. It's still 85 in the day and the flowers are blooming and the trees are all green.

Have a great week!
Love, Lucinda

Good luck on your final Hannah. Just make sure that you study for it, and I don't mean studying through osmosis. Taking a nap on your book doesn't count. Trust me, I know from experience.
