Hi Everyone --
We are back from vacation and in full swing of "real life" again. We really had a great time and have enjoyed talking with you about our pictures and experiences.
The weather has turned cool here. It gets quite cool in the night and the early mornings are very nice. Many Indians are wearing sweaters and jackets all day, even though it warms up in the afternoon. This must be the weather that we should really enjoy and appreciate while we are here.
We had the John Deere expats over for dinner last night. There were 12 of us plus Hannah's "friend", Aman. I made a big pot of chili, and pot of wild rice and chicken soup, home made bread, fruit salad, and Doug made brownies to go with the ice cream. It was nice to visit and eat good food. Doug also got some fireworks to shoot off -- some fountains and some other goofy sparker tapes. We put out of Diwali
lamps and that was fun too. The Indians who saw them got very excited and said how nice the lamps were.
Our next big adventure is having Michelle and Ryan come next Saturday. It seems like there is so many "things" for them to bring for us. And it seems like there's always something additional to put on the list. They are good sports and have gone out shopping and picked up a lot of "stuff" for us.
Emily and Matt are looking forward to the end of school in December. Matt has a few job offers with Catepillar, Conoco-Phillips, and Whirlpool (that's Illinois, Oklahoma, and Michigan). They are waiting for one more to come in before making the big decision.
Amber and Spencer are doing fine with all the little ones. Corbin is in pre-school and keeps his teacher on her toes. Miles is busy stepping into Corbin's shoes while he is gone. Ella-marie is talking up a storm. Hunter is crawling and pulling himself up on everything.
Craig is busy at BYU with work at the MTC and classes. He is also playing in a folk band that will play before the BYU music festival they do this time of year.
Brice is doing well on his mission in Santiago, Chile. He was sick a couple weeks ago, but is feeling better. He has been transferred into the city again, but is adjusting very well and working hard with his companion.
Hannah is ok. We are looking at other options for her schooling this next semester. The schools here are just not very good and the discipline is non-existent. There has to be a better way. So far, she has received offers to live in Mumbai and go to the American School, and to live in Bangkok and go to the school there. So many great things to do and so little time!
We are still doing fine here in Pune. We had 6 at church today. We will keep praying for more to come!
Have a great week!
Love, Lucinda

Just one little bit of a mistake...Hunter is not crawling and pulling up. You must have confused him with Quinn. Quinn crawls around crying, Hunter rolls around crying. Yes, there is a difference.
Last night was the first night since we have been here that I had to put a blanket on. It has been getting down to 50 degrees at night and during the day up to 85 degrees. We do not open our windows at night because the smell of the cow dung fires is overwhelming in the morning.
